Online Student Tools
- Add/Drop: there are various dates during the term that you can drop a course and not have it impact your academic standing.
- Withdrawing from classes could impact your financial aid. Before you withdraw from classes, contact the financial aid office.
Time to buy books!
Textbooks and course materials can be purchased via the website at www.qvcc-shop.com.
Students are able to use any major credit card, PayPal, or Financial Aid as their payment option. For students using FA (*or third-party funding*), please remember to start your banner ID with the @ symbol during the checkout process. At the end of the semester, text books can be sold “back” to the bookstore.

It is your responsibility to become familiar with the college catalog, including the rules, regulations, and requirements presented herein. Students are eligible for an associate’s degree who meet all requirements as stated either in 1) the catalog at the time of their acceptance or re-admission to the college into a degree program (to the extent possible within the current roster of course offerings), or 2) the catalog in effect at the time of their graduation.
Developing good relationships with your professors is important to starting your college career on the right foot. It is your responsibility to reach out if you are unable to attend class for any reason. You should be able to reach any faculty or staff via Email, by phone or stop by their office.
Effective September 30, QVCC will transition to PeopleTrack, a new check-in/check-out process that uses a bar code scanner to scan your campus ID. As part of our Covid-19 safety protocols, this system will replace the current sign-in/sign-out process.
Students, faculty, and staff are always required to carry their campus ID while on-site. Anyone who does not currently have an QVCC ID, or who has the older style ID without a bar-code on the back, will need to obtain a new ID card. New ID cards may be obtained in-person or online.
IN PERSON: Security will have a card printing station at the main atrium entrance. Proper safety procedures will be observed if you choose to come to campus.
ONLINE: New ID cards may now be requested online. To request ID online, just fill out the online form and upload a picture of yourself. The new cards will be pre-printed and available for pick-up at the Security Desk when you first arrive to campus.
If you are currently working or attending class in-person on campus and do not have an ID card, we ask that you please get your QVCC ID card before October 16. Once active, it is important that you make sure to scan both in and out of campus as you visit.
Please note that, through this system, all visitors will need to show their ID before receiving a visitor’s pass upon arrival on campus. A visitor’s pass/temp pass can be obtained at the security desk.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate safely through these challenging times.
Thank you for helping to keep our campus safe!
