CURRENT CSCU COVID-19 GUIDELINES

  • QVCC will continue to be mask optional on campus, respecting each individual’s choice and circumstance and follow CDC guidelines. We will monitor local conditions and adjust to them throughout the fall semester. Vaccines and boosters remain a highly effective way to stop the spread of the virus and to prevent death from the virus.
  • Campuses have shifted to a “mask-optional” protocol
  • Physical distance restrictions have ended
  • Weekly testing of employees and students and individual case contact tracing have ended
  • No one on campus has the authority to mandate the use of masks by others
  • All employees and students are expected to respect those who choose to continue wearing masks
  • Masks and antigen tests will be available for employees and students who want them
  • Employees and students are expected to continue to self-monitor their health and follow current CDC guidance on quarantine and isolation.
  • Employees and students who test positive should continue to follow the campus process for notification. The COVID Coordinator will determine the quarantine and isolation expectations based on CDC guidelines, confirm when it is safe to return to campus or classes, and notify close contacts as needed.

Latest CDC guidance on COVID-19

  • For those exposed to COVID-19 no longer are required to quarantine, but rather test at day 6 and mask through day 10 for those who are not symptomatic.
