“QVCC changed my future by providing a combination of staff support and curriculum that helped me evolve into the businessman that I am today. It was great that I got a degree with my name on it, but the real value was in the intangible wisdom that was passed on from professors who had worked in industry, built businesses and actually done what they were teaching. I still find myself referencing the lessons I learned years ago on a daily basis.”
Jared Bowns ’12 was drawn to QVCC for the learning environment and the opportunity to graduate without federal debt. His experience at the College allowed him to determine his path.
Jared credits his associate’s degree with helping him in his technology career as a user experience designer for a software engineering firm. His willingness to take chances has led him to partner with a few startups, allowing him to continue his professional growth.
We know Jared will continue to shine and we wish him much continued success!
