2024 Visions in Leadership

March 20 @ 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Siri Lindley, former world champion triathlete, current #1 triathlon coach in the world, business performance coach, author, non-profit founder, and Cancer survivor, will be the featured speaker for the 2024 Visions in Leadership program at Connecticut State Community College Quinebaug Valley. She will visit the campus on Wednesday, March 20.

Created in 2010, Visions in Leadership provides an opportunity for QV students, faculty, staff, and community members to listen to and learn from a speaker of national recognition. The QVCC Foundation thanks 2024 Visions in Leadership sponsor Rebecca Harvey for her support of the event.

Siri Lindley was the 2001 ITU World Champion and won 13 World Cup races including the World Cup Series in 2001 and 2002, during which time she was ranked #1 triathlete in the world. Upon retirement, Siri made the switch to coaching, founding Sirius Coaching with the goal of helping her triathletes achieve their dreams. They have gone on to win Olympic medals, World Championships, World Cup races, national championships, and No. 1 world rankings. In 2023, Siri was inducted into the World Triathlete Hall of Fame. One of Tony Robbins’ top 10 motivational speakers, Siri brings the motto “It’s never too late to live the life you always dreamed” into her role as a business performance coach who believes that a workplace with a positive, energized culture leads to increased employee productivity and overall company success. She promotes the power of positive habits, a growth mindset, and shows individuals and organizations how, by adopting these tools, they can achieve success. She has published two books: Surfacing: From the Depths of Self-Doubt to Winning Big and Living Fearlessly (2016) and Finding a Way: Taking the Impossible and Making it Possible (2023).

The QVCC Foundation was established in 1971 as a 501c3 organization to help those who otherwise could not attend college due to financial constraints by involving area business and community members in fundraising efforts. Today’s 25-member strong diverse group of community leaders continues to work tirelessly in support of the Foundation’s mission… to raise funds so that all residents of Northeastern Connecticut are provided the opportunity to attend QVCC regardless of income and to support educational excellence, technological advancement, and professional development at the College and to serve as the Regional Advisory Council to the College.

Tickets for the sell-out event must be purchased in advance.  The cost is $75 per person and includes dinner, dessert, the presentation, and a silent auction. Book signing with limited sales will also be available.
