Quinebaug Valley Community College will host Voices from the Immigrant Rights Movement, A Discussion Featuring Vania Galicia, Sister Mary Jude Lazarus and Erin O-Neil Baker. The panel will include: Vania Galicia-Bacilio is a twenty-year-old undocumented immigrant who has lived in Willimantic Connecticut since she was three years old. She first began organizing when she was sixteen years old through a local organization called GROW Windham, which inspired her to become more involved in the immigrants’ rights movement. Wednesday, May 1, 2019 beginning at 5 p.m. Congratulations to All Scholarship Winners The QVCC Foundation is awarding $140,000 in scholarships to more than 100 current and incoming students for the 2019-2020 academic year.  Annually, The Foundation provides the College with more than $200,000 to support a DEBT-FREE education for the residents of Northeast Connecticut. Recipients must be in attendance to receive their award.

Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at 6 p.m. Graduation is Coming! Commencement will be held outdoors at the QVCC Danielson campus in the Richard Berry Amphitheater.  Seating is only available for graduates so guest should feel free to bring lawn chairs and blankets for seating.   If the ceremony is held outdoors, there is NO limit on guests.
