Congratulations!

We are proud of our graduates and wish we were able to celebrate with a true in-person event.  This is a special and important event in your life and your achievements are to be celebrated. If you are starting a new job or continuing your studies at a four-year institution, you should know that QVCC will always be here for you. Congratulations!

Cap & Gown Distribution

Options:

Monday, May 24, Noon – 7 p.m. OR Tuesday, May 25, 8 – 10:30 a.m or 3-6 p.m.

Your Grad SWAG Bag will include the following:

Cap and gown
Honor cords and sashes if applicable
Commemorative graduation announcements
Gift from the QVCC Alumni Association
Graduation gift from QVCC
You will be able to pick up your Grad SWAG Bag at the Danielson campus in room W100/101 on the following days:

Please park in parking lot “B” (take a left when coming in and enter lot “B”, second on the right) and enter W100 through the exterior door which is adjacent to the parking lot.

Drive-Through Order of Distribution

To keep the celebration moving along, but also to allow your guests to capture your special moment, please make every attempt you can to stay within your one-hour window of time.  Your window for being on campus has been divided alphabetically by last name.

  • 3 – 4 p.m. A – C
  • 4 – 5 p.m. D – H
  • 5 – 6 p.m. I – P
  • 6 – 7 p.m. Q – Z

Frequently Asked Questions

I originally wanted to walk in the ceremony but will not be able to. Can I still receive my cap and gown?
Yes, you can pick up your SWAG bag on May 24 or 25th. Please inform staff at that time that you will NOT be attending the ceremony or Email Krissy Larrow klarrow@qvcc.edu in advance.

When I looked in my SWAG bag, I thought I should be receiving an honor cord or I thought my honor cord should be different?
The Records Office at QVCC is responsible for final GPA and awarding the associated level of academic honors.  Please contact the Records Office, Krissy Larrow Klarrow@qvcc.edu or Nicole Marcoux-Bowen Nmarcoux-bowen@qvcc.edu

I can’t pick up my SWAG bag at either time. When can I pick it up?
You can have a friend or family member pick up your bag on May 24 or 25th.  If you need to make another arrangement, please contact Susan Breault, sbreault@qvcc.edu or 860.932.4062

What if it rains on May 26?
The rain date is planned for Thursday, May 27, 3 – 7 p.m. Pick up of SWAG bags will still be on May 24 and 25th.

How many people can I bring to the drive-through ceremony?
Each graduate is allowed ONE vehicle for guests.

Where do I go when I get to campus on the 26th?
We will have staff and signage directing you through the campus
