QVCC Foundation Scholarship Process

$135,000 in Scholarship Money Available for 2017-2018

ScholarshipsThe QVCC Foundation is offering over $135,000 in scholarship money, which will be awarded at Scholarship Night in May

Who Can Apply

New and returning students for fall 2018.

How to Apply

The application period is now closed

  1. Complete the online application 

  2. Complete Additional Scholarship Forms

    After you have completed the online application, print and complete the additional four (4) Scholarship Forms which include a signature page, personal statement, academic letter of recommendation, and character reference. Personal statements and letters of recommendation must be current. Military applicants must provide a copy of their DD214 in their submission packets.

  3. Print your transcript

    Current QVCC students can print an unofficial transcript through myCommNet. High school students need to supply official copies of their transcripts.

  4. Submit your documents

    All scholarship supporting documents, must be submitted together, in one packet, no later than noon on March 9, 2018 at the QVCC Financial Aid Office in the Student Success Center (Danielson) or the front desk in Willimantic. It is YOUR responsibility to ensure that the packet is complete and on time. Failure to do so will void the application.

Veterans & Art Applicants

  • Military applicants must provide your DD214
  • Applicants for art scholarships must provide a portfolio containing three pieces of art. Portfolios will be judged by a professional, impartial panel.

How Scholarships are Awarded

Completed scholarship application packets are screened by an impartial committee from the QVCC Foundation. The committee selects the winners based on the criteria of each scholarship. Scholarship awards are presented at the Foundation’s Scholarship Night in May.

All scholarship applicants will be notified of their status by the middle of April, regardless if they will be awarded a scholarship or if they have not been selected this year. Scholarship winners are required to attend to receive their award.
