Course Withdrawal Deadline Extended to April 30

We at QVCC realize that this is a stressful and uncertain time that we are all experiencing; however, please know that the QVCC Community and CSCU system are committed to supporting you as we finish out the spring 2020 semester.

At this time, QVCC has placed a hold on processing withdrawals. This is a temporary measure to make sure you have the time to check-in with either your instructors in the courses you are currently taking or with an advisor that can help you determine the best plan of action for you at this time. If you receive federal financial aid and are considering withdrawing from classes, (which may result in you having to pay back funds to the college), please seek out an advisor or the financial aid office to make sure you understand if that will be the case.

You may withdraw from a course(s) through April 30, 2020 by completing the Add/Drop form, also located on QVCC’s forms webpage.  The completed form should be submitted to the Registrar at qvrecords@qvcc.edu. You will be able to withdraw from classes effective on the date you wish, but no withdrawals will be processed before April 3, 2020. If you are thinking about dropping a class, we highly recommend that you first speak with your instructor. This conversation will give you a clear overview on where you stand in the class. At that point, if you still want to withdraw, we urge you to call the Student Success Center at 860-932-4020 or email advising@qvcc.edu. Please leave your contact information and an academic advisor will reach out to help you. During the conversation with the advisor, please mention if you are receiving Federal Financial Aid or Veterans funding, as withdrawing from a class could affect this funding.
