NEW! Introduction to Digital Photography

Taken together, Intro to Digital Photography Part 1 & Part 2 prepare students to create fine art photography using a digital format. Students will leave with confidence in the use of their camera, basic skills in operating Adobe Photoshop, and use of Epson printers to create their very own framed photographs.

Introduction to Digital Photography Part 1

In Part 1, students learn the very basics of how to use their DSLR cameras and how to “draw” with light. Part 1 covers mastery of a camera’s technical settings and basic digital editing skills.

Introduction to Digital Photography Part 2

In Part 2, students will dive deeper into the techniques learned in Part 1 to create unique, visually compelling images. In addition to technical ability, students will explore their own ideas, thoughts, and feelings through the art of digital photography.

Dates: April 03 – May 01, 2018

Time: 6:00-9:00 p.m.

Material Needs: DSLR Camera w/ memory card (at least 16gb); Camera user manual; Camera battery charger; 32 or 64gb thumb drive for digital photo copies; 25 sheets of 8×11 photo paper (semi-gloss, ultra-satin, heavyweight)

Interested in building your own website? Learn the fundamentals of website design and get to work building a site for your business or as a freelance designer. Topics include HTML5, CSS, site planning, page layout, and site navigation.

Pauline Clifford earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin in Japanese Language and Literature, a Master’s degree in Language & Literacy from the University of Guam, and a Ph.D. in Educational Technology from Walden University. She also teaches Developmental English, Freshman Composition,  Introduction to Literature, Computer Software Applications, and Web Design & Development in an adjunct capacity both on-ground and online.
