Kids Academy Week
July 8 – 12 • 9 – Noon • $100/per student per session
Kids Academy is back this summer with offerings for children 3 – 5 and 10 – 14 years old. Taught by QVCC faculty, adjuncts, and students, your child has the opportunity to have some fun and also have a learning experience during the summer months.
Sensory and Art Exploration
Ages 3 - 5 years old
A week of sensory and art exploration! Using their senses, children will explore a variety of mediums to express their creative side through techniques made famous by renowned artists. They will splatter paint like Pollock, draw like da Vinci, watercolor like Monet, paint like Michelangelo and sculpt like Rodin. Classes will be held at the QVCC Early Childhood Center.
Children Must:
- Participate unassisted
- Be toilet trained
Please bring: A water bottle, snack and a change of clothes
Sunscreen should be applied prior to drop-off
Performance Art
Ages 10 - 14years old
A week of movement and performance discovery! Kids will explore a variety of performance art mediums, including dance, song, and theatrics. Our work will culminate in a short performance on the final day of camp. All are welcome who love the stage!
- The class will culminate in a show at the end of class on Friday.
- No experience necessary
- Please bring:Water bottle, Small snack
- Please wear comfortable, soft, moveable clothes and sneakers or tennis shoes
