OVERVIEW
The Human Services Associates of Science degree includes a 31 credit core of liberal arts competency courses with a psychology and sociology emphasis. Additionally, this degree includes 30 credits of foundational human services knowledge bases and skills courses designed to prepare students for entry level careers in residential, nursing home, educational, social service, criminal justice, and hospital settings.
Program Details
This is a 61 credit terminal degree that can also prepare students for transfer to a four-year institution. Human Services Associates of Science degree holders often go on to a bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, sociology, and/or criminology. A program coordinator will work with you to determine the best course electives to achieve your educational, professional, and/or personal objectives.
