Accounting Fundamental Series

Whether you’re a sole proprietor looking to manage your business finances or you simply want to gain an understanding of accounting basics for career advancement or for personal use, the courses in this bundle will give you a solid foundation in financial matters. If you’re interested in increasing your financial awareness while also gaining a marketable skill, this series of courses is perfect for you.

This course is provided by a training partner. Students will be enrolled in the online courses noted below. Online course access will be provided via email confirmation.

Course I: Accounting Fundamentals

In this course, you’ll learn the basics of double-entry bookkeeping, as well as how to analyze and record financial transactions. You’ll get hands-on experience with handling accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll procedures, sales taxes, and various common banking activities. We’ll cover all the bases, from writing checks to preparing an income statement and closing out accounts at the end of each fiscal period.

Course II: Accounting Fundamentals II

This course will build on the knowledge you gained in Accounting Fundamentals, to provide you with a solid understanding of corporate accounting practices. You’ll explore such topics as special journals, uncollectible accounts receivable, plant assets, depreciation, notes and interest, accrued revenue and expenses, dividends, retained earnings, and various financial reports for corporations.

Series bundles are not eligible for partial drops or refunds. Transfers to other open sessions of the same class are available.

Accounting with QuickBooksQuickbooks

This comprehensive course will teach you the basics of accounting with QuickBooks Online, the most widely used accounting software for small business owners. You’ll master the basics double-entry bookkeeping and get hands-on experience handling accounts receivable, accounts payable, sales taxes and other common financial activities. This course is facilitated by a vendor partner and consists of three (3) courses: Accounting Fundamentals, Accounting Fundamentals II, and Quickbooks Online. Students will be enrolled in all three courses upon registration. Suite bundles are not eligible for partial drops or refunds.

Introduction to QuickBooks Online – Self Paced

This QuickBooks course will teach you how to manage your business finances with QuickBooks Online. This powerful accounting software has helped millions of small business owners oversee their finances. Now that the cloud-based version is outpacing the desktop version, there’s no better time to refresh your QuickBooks knowledge.

You will learn to use key features of QuickBooks Online and gain hands-on experience creating invoices, receipts, and statements; track payables, inventory, and receivables; generating reports; and more. Whether you’re new to QuickBooks or need a quick refresher, this course will empower you to take control of your business’s financial accounting, all with the ease and convenience of an online platform.

Hardware Requirements:

  • This course can be taken on either a PC or Mac.

Software Requirements:

  • PC: Windows 8 or later;
  • Mac: macOS 10.6 or later;
  • Browser: The latest version of Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox are preferred. Microsoft Edge and Safari are also compatible.
    Adobe Acrobat Reader.
  • Applications must be installed and fully operational before the course begins.

  • When your course starts, you will be directed to access and utilize the free QuickBooks Online practice site to complete the lessons. No subscription or purchase is needed. (Please Note: This course is only for the QuickBooks Online version.

Workplace Essentials: 10 Soft Skills

The meaning of Soft Skills can sometimes be difficult to describe. It can be that unique attribute or characteristic that facilitates great communication. It can be the special way that you show confidence in a challenging situation. These and other events can become more easily managed with this great workshop.

With the Ten Soft Skills workshop participants will begin to see how important it is to develop a core set of soft skills. By managing and looking at the way people interact and seeing things in a new light, your participants will improve on almost every aspect of their career.
