Take Classes Close to Home in Willimantic

Vieng ESL studentQVCC, in partnership with  Windham Technical High School (WTHS), offers courses in the afternoon and evening at the WTHS location in Willimantic, CT.  You are able to take classes in a variety of subjects ranging from core courses in English and math to communication, art, English as a Second Language, early childhood education, history, humanities and science.  You are encouraged to round out your schedule with online courses or taking classes at the main campus in Danielson.

The QV@WT entrance is to the left of the WTHS main entrance.  Students are only to enter and exit through this door.  A security guard will be in the lobby. A Student Services representative can be found on the second floor in the library.

Transportation

A public bus runs between Willimantic and the Danielson campus twice a day.  This bus, which is being operated by the Windham Region Transit District (WRTD), arrives at QVCC’s Danielson Campus (from Willimantic) at 8:30 am and stops at the Danielson campus once again at 4:30 pm returning to Willimantic. after that.

Spring Courses

During the Spring 2020 semester, 26 different classes have been scheduled at WTHS (12 classes from a variety of academic disciplines, 12 ESL classes, and 2 non-credit offerings). Bookstore

Textbooks can be purchased at the Quinebaug Valley Community College Bookstore located on the Danielson campus.

Computer Lab

The Windham Tech library provides students with computer workstations and printing.  Free WiFi is available for QVCC students: log in to the ConnSCU network with your NetID and password, just like you do in Danielson.

Directions

Library

During the spring and fall semesters, QVCC students have access to the Windham Tech library from 3:00 – 9:00 pm Monday-Thursday.  At other times, assistance from a librarian is available by phone at (860) 932-4007 or via email at library@qvcc.edu.  In addition, a QVCC librarian is available to help students by appointment.

Parking

Free parking is available in the main Windham Tech parking lot.

Student IDs

All QVCC students are encouraged to obtain a student photo ID.  Student IDs are free to all students who are registered for credit courses at QVCC.

Student IDs can be obtained at the Learning Center on the Danielson Campus.  IDs can be made at the Windham Tech site by prior arrangement.  Please see our Student Services representative  in the Library to make arrangements to have your ID made.
